Kozjansko circle

Rogaška Slatina (GH Sava) – Podčetrtek – Olimje –

We begin our tour from Rogaška Slatina along the picturesque Vonarsko cycling route to our first stop – the idyllic village of Olimje, known for its Franciscan monastery, one of the oldest pharmacies in Europe, a small chocolate boutique, and a beautiful herbal garden.
A highlight of the tour is a visit to the Jelenov Greben deer farm, where guests can walk among tame deer and enjoy the peaceful natural setting.

We continue through Bistrica ob Sotli to the charming town of Podsreda, known for its historic center and authentic regional character. The final stop is Kozje, where we enjoy a delicious lunch before returning to the hotel by bus, full of impressions and beautiful memories.

Haloze & Ptuj

Rogaška Slatina (GH Sava) – Majšperk – Ptujska Gora – Ptuj → 45 km

The route begins in front of the hotel and leads through Rogatec and untouched nature to Majšperk. We continue into the scenic region of Haloze, often called the “Slovenian Tuscany”, known for its rolling hills, vineyards, forests, and traditional farms.

Our next stop is Ptujska Gora, a picturesque village with magnificent views and an impressive basilica of the Virgin Mary. After visiting the church, we cycle to Ptuj, the oldest town in Slovenia, renowned for its rich history, castle views, and medieval old town charm.

After lunch and some free time, we return to the hotel by bus.

Celje & Šmartinsko lake

We cycle along a newly planned bike route (opening in 2025), passing through Šmarje pri Jelšah, where we stop to see the famous Baroque church, the Calvary of St. Roch, and Jelšingrad Castle. The tour continues through Šentjur toward Celje, the historic center of the Savinja Valley.
After lunch, we head to Žalec, Slovenia’s hop-growing capital, where we stop at the world’s first beer fountain. We end the day with a scenic ride around Šmartinsko Lake, surrounded by serene nature.

Return to the hotel is organized by bus.

Cycling route “Štrekna”

Velenje – Slovenj Gradec – Dravograd – Radlje ob Dravi → 55 km

“Štrekna” is a modern cycling route built on the abandoned railway line between Velenje and Dravograd. The name comes from the local slang term for a railway – “štreka”.

The route winds along the foothills of the Pohorje range and Uršlja Gora, offering excellent infrastructure and beautiful viewpoints. The trail ends in Radlje ob Dravi, nestled between the Kozjak and Pohorje mountains.

Return to the hotel is organized by bus.

Rogaška – Olimje – Kumrovec –

We start from Rogaška Slatina and cycle to Olimje, where we visit the monastery, herbal garden, and chocolate boutique. After a short stop in Podčetrtek, we cross the border into Croatia to Kumrovec, the birthplace of Josip Broz Tito. There we explore the Ethno Village, an open-air museum showcasing 19th-century rural life.

The route continues through a scenic valley to Krapina, where guests can visit the Neanderthal Museum or stroll through the town center. After a lunch break, we cycle back to Rogaška Slatina, enriched by a cross-cultural day trip through two countries.

Žička charterhouse & Zlati grič vineyards

From Rogaška Slatina, we take quiet country roads through Loče to one of the oldest Carthusian monasteries in Europe – the Žička Charterhouse – a place of deep peace and spiritual reflection, nestled in the Valley of Saint John the Baptist.

We then descend to Slovenske Konjice, a charming town that blends history, culture, and winemaking. There, we visit the renowned Zlati Grič wine estate for a guided tour and wine tasting in a picturesque vineyard setting.

After a break and refreshments, we return to Rogaška Slatina with a rich experience of nature, spirituality, and fine Slovenian wine.

Celje & Žalec – in the land of hops and beer

We begin the ride through Šmarje pri Jelšah, stopping to visit its Baroque church and the famous Calvary hill. We continue to Celje, a town of princes, full of history and cultural charm.

After a short break and refreshment, we cycle to nearby Žalec, the center of Slovenian hop production. Two unique experiences await us:

  • “Green Gold” Beer Fountain – the world’s first beer fountain where you can sample excellent local brews
  • Eco-Museum of Hop-Growing and Brewing, where you’ll learn about the local hop-growing tradition and beer culture

After a light lunch with a local touch, we return to Rogaška Slatina.
