Rogaška Slatina is
surrounded by three hills – Boč, Plešivec and Donačka gora. Boč is the most famous one; because
of its variety and number of natural treasures it is protected as a regional
park. Easter flower or big pasqueflower is the most famous plant on Boč and one
of the most endangered botanical species in Slovenia. Diverse hills are
characterised by dense and well-preserved forests with predominantly deciduous
trees, especially beech trees, chestnut trees, maple trees and oak trees.
Meadow patches diversify the voluptuous image of nature which bursts with life
in spring and summer.
